Very Responsive - But the most expensive AC call I've ever had cleaned slightly under $1,000 for 2 AC coils cleaned - never again.

We recently had to have a new HVAC system installed. They arrived on time and did an amazing job. We have been a customer for 25 years and they have never steered us wrong. You need to have a yearly contract to have your unit checked every season.

They arrived on time, worked quickly to solve the problem and were extremely courteous and professional. They even told me things about my a/c unit that I was unaware of and that other technicians failed to disclose. They even call you 30 minutes before they arrive. I definitely recommend them.

When installing a new part for my heat pump, through a home warranty claim, they greatly overcharged for anything that the warranty did not cover. The worst example of which was their duct modification charge of 185 dollars, this amounted to installing an L-bracket. If you have a home warranty claim they know you can't shop around and will gouge you for everything they can.

Had a mini split ductless system installed by this team. The sales and home visit to get the right unit was well done. The install was a bit unprofessional due to them not having basic tools needed for the job. They asked me for a step stool to install the inside unit, a shovel to level the ground on the outside unit, a ladder( they needed 2 but only brought one) and a hacksaw for who knows what? The young apprentice was left to install the inside unit and had no idea how to find the studs or that once he put 10 holes in the wall and finally found a stud, that the next one is 16" over. Plus he didn't use the wall anchors on any of the ones that missed. Also caught them standing on my chest freezer in the garage to run lines (no second ladder), go figure? Just sloppy work for a professional company. The outside unit was never leveled and when I mentioned it they wedged a broken piece of concrete under it. It still wobbles 1-2 inches. When I called the GM he recommended I wedge more rocks under it. He did offer to do it themselves but again the standard seems to be wedged rocks and letting the ground settle after a few rains. The ground was never worked up so it will not settle as he said. I asked them at the initial appointment if the ground prep should be done by me and was told no, they would level it. The line sets were measured at the appointment but apparently they somehow came up 8-10' short. So now the lines on the outside of the house run from the unit at a 45 degree angle to the roof line. Really? Lastly the unit cost over $3600 and before they left they couldn't find the 2 special filters or the remote mount. I was told they would get them to me. It's been 11 days so I called today to ask why no one had given me any information since they left. They apologized and said they were still on order. Being friendly is not compensation for makeshift work. They just seemed very unprepared and a bit sloppy. This was a big purchase and I feel like I don't want anyone looking at the components very closely.

Very professional and they preform amazing work. Very reasonably priced, will never call another HVAC company since they're so easy to work with and super accommodating.

I utilized this company because they were assigned to complete a claim through my home warranty plan. The service was fine and the system is working, however, the billing is not ethical. They charged 680 dollars for services not covered for the warranty which I was required to pay before they did any service. I paid this because I understand the warranty does not cover everything. However, it is now clear that they use the non-covered items in the contract to over bill their customers.
I had to request the itemized charges they billed me from my home warranty service, as Air Comfort claimed they couldn't talk prices with me due to their warranty contract. This company clearly overcharged us.
The greatest example is the $185 dollars charged for duct modification, which the service technician told me was installing an L bracket ( about 2 minutes of labor and 2 dollars in parts).
I would stay away from this company if you can, if you can't insure they clearly explain all charges before you give them anything.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alan M.Louisville, KY01Jul 14, 2017
I will never use this company again and do not recommend them to anyone. I called this company for service of my R-22 AC system. The serviceman Mark came out and quickly looked over the inside and outside units spending less than a few minutes. He then checked the high/low side pressures and found it was low on charge. He then started touting a leak stop material saying it worked in his system at home and how happy he was with it. I told him ok and he proceeded to add the leak stop using an oil injector device and recharged the system. Everything seemed to be working ok so I asked him what is the charge. He initially said $700+ dollars for the leak stop and 3.5 lbs of R-22. I objected and he said he would give me a break on the R-22 ( $130 / lb you buy on EBAY for $32 / lb ) and lowered it to $612. I said ok and paid him. Less than 48hrs later my AC went out again. I then went and looked at the outside unit and noticed oil spraying out of the unit. I called them back and told them the problem. Mark showed up the next day and I showed him the leak. It was a small pin hole leak caused by a tube rubbing against a plastic divider. The copper was polished and oil was found on the plastic part. I asked him to fix it but he said he did not have the equipment. I asked him why the leak stop had not worked and then he stated that it did not work sometimes. He did not state this before. Two days later they sent another man to fix the leak and recharge with a drop-in replacement. I did not expect to be charged for the second visit since their leak stop did not even slow the leak down the first time. I signed the service ticket and asked for a refund of my money for the first visit since I only benefited a day and a half of cooling for $612. They did not provide me with a receipt of the service ticket. They told me that I had to speak to Mark. This process took 5 days to complete. Mark called me back and stated that I had obviously had one leak on the first trip and a second leak developed less than two days later. I work in for a refrigerator manufacturer and have 25+ years of experience. Repeat failures like this never happen especially so close together. He also stated that he previously told me the leak stop only works 80% of the time. He did not state this previously. At this point it became obvious to me that he did not put any leak stop in my system so that he could get a repeat service call and charge extra $$. In my experience, the hole was tiny and the leak stop product would have worked if applied correctly.
